COTE KOSAK

My name is Cote Kosak and has been that way for 29 years until recently when I took a big jump and added Captain in front. Everyone who knows me knows my passion and love for the outdoors. I have been raised from prior generations to not just take the fruit of my labor for myself but to also teach and bring as much knowledge as I have and share it with others. My love for being the outdoorsman I am today came from my grandfather who taught me the most valuable and simple things to always stay true to. He was the person who got to put the worm on my hook and taught me how to cast a line at the age of 2.

Years later when I had the fundamentals down to a science, so I thought my grandfather had passed away from cancer.

Losing my number one supporter and teacher was the hardest thing a 7 year old could deal with. In losing my grandpa I thought my fishing days were over but Grams picked up right where grandpa and I had left off but grams wasn't the best at casting and wasn't too fond of putting the worm on the hook so if I wanted to fish well I had to teach. I can still remember standing under the bridge on the bantam river casting out grandmas line with the biggest night crawler we could find from the backyard. Handing her the pole and saying you're gonna catch a big one and shortly after, she landed a 33in northern pike. Jump ahead in time when I had received my license,my fishing and outdoors passion took a huge turn now I was FREE. My horizons got wider by the day from Upstate NY to Maine, Vermont, Mass and of course southern CT. I was working a full time job and fishing almost as much as I working. Dialing in my skills and learning new tactics was what desired my interest so much. I spent the rest of the following years building up my knowledge on fishing.
